Karijini is on Country of the Banyjima / Banjima, Innawonga / Innawongka and Kurrama peoples (Karijini is the Banyjima name for the Hamersley Range).
Stay on marked tracks. Do not disturb cultural sites. Follow all on-site and official rules.

3. Heat · cold water · flash flood filters
Heat: Nov–Apr often extreme (>40–50 °C). Start early; prefer lookouts over long descents in peak heat.
Cold water: Gorge pools stay very cold — hypothermia risk even on hot days. No diving or jumping.
Flash floods: Exit gorges if rain falls in the catchment. Do not camp in creek beds.
Asbestos: Closed Yampire / Wittenoom areas — do not enter.
Dingoes (Dales): Do not feed; supervise children; store food in vehicles.
No dogs · no campfires (verify current rules).
